cable shift into a kubvan... i did it in mine...
its a stock tranny vw started to use in 90 in passats/corrados.. then they used them in mk3 tdi and vr6... they not the same bellhousing so must get one for a 4 not a 6..
they will bolt right to any 4 that vw made.. so old 1.6idi thru the tdi and td idi is no issue..
the draw backs...
have to buy custom mounts to make it fit.. ~$300 for them to buy.. else you make your own..
have to add a hydrolic clutch master to the pedals.. in a kubvan simple as lots of room...
have to get 16v axles, (100mm joints) so a little grinding required to fit them into the spindles and NOT lock up when nut tightened..
some pics of my hydro set up..

its tha one from a 98 jetta.. the b3/b4 passat would be much simpler as they use a pin on the clutch pedal..
one of the nice things is bulk 6mm brake line from a part store has the proper fittings to extend the stock rubber hydro line to fit this.. did not have to mod any stock hydro parts.. was plug and play

i mounted my fluid resivor under the dash.. was a mits brake master cylender resivore.. they are remote mounted... so easy to use that bracket some new line and a t to make it work like butter..
but my fab skillz let me build this..

at the top of the clutch pedal to use the 98 style.. aka rectangular box vs a pin..

how i have my shifter installed..
many pics at www dot crsmp5 dot com under burnt toast.. question sfeel free to ask..
