1.9 VW meets Toyota and Grumman

This was Crsmp5 (burnt toast) original idea, I thought I should promote it to it's own forum as it is has been so popular.

Probably some of you thought this project was dead, nope just stalled while collecting bits.
So scored a nice 1.9 TD, I got the acme plate and found an SR22 bell housing to put it all together.

Went together like a charm.
Next I am going to run up the engine and test the clutch and the tranny to make sure it is really all connected.
Once that's done I will test fit the engine, design the mounts etc. more pictures when I get that far.
I have also been working on finalizing the front hard axle shock mount, really had to get creative here. pictures to follow.
I picked up a pair of vents from stepvan parts for the rear top side panels as burnt toast had suggested earlier to avoid a leaky opening skylight.

The acme adapter plate mates Yota to VW
Slow but progress is being made.
