Well it's a few years later and I decided a while ago not to sell my van. I did however build another chassis before I put it in will be pulling it out late spring to start working on it again.

Nicely done Grumpy, I enjoyed reading thru your last build again just now.
The new chassis looks great, makes me realize perhaps that is what I should be doing with my 4X4 conversion.
Nice to see the engine mounted in there.
I have put a 1.9 litre VW diesel in connected to a toyota 4X4 transmission, front and rear axle.

Looks like you have a new engine sitting on the rails of the new chassis.
I will link this to the kubvan owners group on face book, those guys will enjoy seeing it.
You might want to join us over there too.
