Speedometer Cable

Postby jbohannon » Thu Jun 11, 2015 5:16 am

I need to replace the speedometer cable. It has broke, I had someone try to weld it, but then it was too short. Anyone know of an online supplier I can get one from?

Thanks!

Same as auto rabbit.... 81 thru 84.... If you get a german auto cable, will be 2 parts... 75 thru 81... Then they goto plastic clip to speedo head, but has plastic box in middle for egr/oxs light... Which you do not need to plug in, but neededto hook the 2 cables together....

Biggest note... Nogerman diesel auto or gas auto will work after 82... All mk2+ have clip vs thread onto speedo head
