Engine oil
Always use quality oil — petroleum based and/or
synthetic based. The following must appear on the oil container singly or in combination
with other designations:
"API Service CC or CD"
Engine oils are graded according to their viscosity. The
proper grade to be used in your engine depends on existing climatic or seasonal
conditions.

Refer to the temperature chart when selecting engine oil.
As temperature ranges of the different oil grades overlap, brief variatons in outside
temperatures are no cause for alarm.
It is also permissible to mix different viscosities if you
find it necessary to add oil.
When using SAE 10W or SAE 5W—20 engine oil, avoid high speed
long distance driving if outside temperature rises above the indicated limits.
Oil change intervals specified in the Maintenance Schedule
apply to normal operating conditions and must be adhered to, including intervals for oil
filter change.
If you drive mostly short distances, or if you operate the
vehicle in dusty areas, or under predominantly stop-and-go traffic conditions, or when
temperatures remain below freezing for extended periods, the engine oil should be changed
more frequently.
Transmission oil
Manual transmission: Hypoid-oil SAE 80, SAE 75W/80 or
SAE80W/90(Mil-L-2105orAPI/GL4)
Automatic transmission: ATF Dexron® for torque converter
and SAE 90 or SAE 80W/90 (Mil-L-2015 8 or API/GL 5) for final drive.
